Geometry Dash appears as a stage in Super Smash Bros. Dream. , reflecting the game’s recognizable style and strong presence in platforming and rhythm-game communities. Geometry Dash is a rhythm-based, side-scrolling platform game released in 2013, developed by Swedish creator Robert Topala and published by RobTop Games. It launched on iOS and Android on August 13, 2013, followed by Windows Phone on June 12, 2014, and Steam on December 22, 2014. Players control an icon and aim to finish levels while avoiding hazards. The main game includes 26 official full-length levels: 22 auto-scrolling stages and 4 platformer-style levels. It also features a level editor that lets players create and share custom levels online, and earn in-game rewards to unlock icon customization options.
Gameplay[edit | edit source]
In Geometry Dash, the player guides an icon through side-scrolling stages and must reach the end without hitting obstacles such as spikes or walls. Most levels use an auto-scrolling camera and are played with a single control input. If the icon crashes, the level restarts from the beginning. A Practice Mode lets players place checkpoints and restart from them, but it does not count as a normal completion. In platformer levels, movement is freer: players can go left or right without auto-scrolling and can use built-in checkpoints.
Many objects can change how the icon moves, including portals, jump pads, and orbs, which can affect gravity, speed, size, direction, and game mode. Each mode plays differently: the cube jumps with a tap, the ball flips gravity with input, and the ship flies by holding and releasing.
Every level has its own music track, and success depends heavily on timing and rhythm, as the music often matches visual and gameplay cues. The game’s 26 main levels include four platformer levels found in The Tower. Levels are labeled by difficulty, ranging from Easy to Demon. Most main levels also contain three secret coins, usually earned by taking alternate routes or completing specific tasks.
Finishing levels and opening chests rewards players with collectibles such as stars, mana orbs, diamonds, and keys. These items unlock cosmetic options for the icon, including its look, colors, and death animation. The game also features shops and secret areas where additional rewards can be unlocked.
Spin-offs[edit | edit source]
After the original release, RobTop Games published a free version, Geometry Dash Lite, along with three spin-off games. Lite and the spin-offs are free-to-play and include ads, unlike the paid main game.

Layout[edit | edit source]
Geometry Dash in its neutral form is a flat stage with walk-offs at both ends. During battle, blocks, hazards, pads, rings, and/or portals may appear to change the layout. In addition, Geometry Dasher may appear as a stage hazard. The background colour will periodically change as well, although this is purely cosmetic.
This is a list of hazards, pads, rings, and portals that may appear on this stage.
The competitively viable version of the stage has no walk-offs, and does not change layout. Geometry Dasher does not appear.
Origin[edit | edit source]
Geometry Dash is based off the many elements in the game, Geometry Dash. Players, who play as Geometry Dasher, are required to avoid many hazards to reach the goal. Template:Clr
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- When Geometry Dasher has his gravity reversed through a blue pad or ring, a gravity portal, or dual portal, he is able to slide on the ceiling despite it being a blast line.
