Article on Bulbapedia | Sucker Punch (move) |
Sucker Punch (ふいうち, Surprise Attack) appears as female Meowstic's side special. Meowstic front-flips forward. If the special button is pressed again, Meowstic will strike the foe with a diagonally downward punch. It the stick is tapped backwards at the start of this move, Meowstic will back-flip, though her punch will still go forward.
Customization[edit | edit source]
Special Move customization returned in Super Smash Bros. Dream. These are the known variations:
- Sucker Punch: Default.
- Fake Out: Pressing the special button afterwards will instead perform a quick flip in the opposite direction, allowing for mindgames and evasion.
- Scratch: The flip is lower and more horizontal. The scratch doesn't descend, making safer off-stage, but Meowstic cannot back-flip.
Origin[edit | edit source]
Sucker Punch appeared in the Pokémon series starting in Generation III. It goes first and deals more damage if yout opponent was planning to damage you.
