Isabelle is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Dream. She was confirmed on January 21st by DatNuttyKid as the second fighter from the Animal Crossing series, and a clone of Villager.
All of Isabelle's costumes feature a different special character from Animal Crossing - specifically, Isabelle herself, K.K. Slider, Tom Nook, Mabel, Digby, Lottie, Reese, and Cyrus. However, Isabelle is the default costume and is used in all promotion for the game.
Differences from Villager[edit | edit source]
As a clone of Villager, Isabelle shares most of her moveset with him, with a few exceptions which can be seen below. She is around the same size as him, but lighter and slightly faster - however, she also does less damage than him in most of the moves they share.
Moveset[edit | edit source]

- Neutral: Isabelle punches with boxing gloves. Identical to Villager's neutral attack.
- F-Tilt: Isabelle swings an umbrella horizontally. Identical to Villager's forward tilt.

- B-Air: Isabelle fires a slingshot backwards. Identical to Villager's back aerial.
- U-Air: Isabelle swings two, three, or five turnips over her head. Similar to Villager's up aerial, but since she can have more turnips, she can do more damage.
- D-Air: Isabelle swings two, three, or five turnips beneath herself. Similar to Villager's down aerial, but since she can have more turnips, she can do more damage.

- Isabelle falls asleep for a few seconds before snapping awake.

Reveal trailer[edit | edit source]
The trailer starts with a shot of the front of town hall. It zooms through the door to the inside, where Isabelle is working at the desk. She waves at the camera, then looks confused as a hand reaches from the camera and hands her a letter with the Smash logo seal. She opens it, sees what it is, and looks excited.
The rest of the trailer shows her battling Villager and various other fighters.
Trophies[edit | edit source]
- Isabelle
- Isabelle is the loyal secretary of Smashville. In Super Smash Bros. 4, she would assist the fighters by tossing healing fruit. But this time, she's getting in on the fighting action herself! She may look adorable, but don't let it fool you - she can be a force to be reckoned with. She didn't bring any healing fruit with her, though. I suppose that might be cheating.

- Isabelle (Alt.)
- Isabelle shares a lot of her moves with her mayor - I suppose when you live in a town like Smashville, that's to be expected. However, she does bring some variation to the table: instead of snagging opponents with nets, she uses a fishing rod. She can also swing a glow wand instead of a stick, and use surprisingly effective party poppers! Her turnips are also even more effective - while Villager can only pull out up to three, she can pull out up to five!
